Open Heaven For Teens 16 December 2022 – Power In The Word
TOPIC: Power In The Word [Open Heaven for Teens 16 December 2022]
MEMORISE: And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Genesis 1:3
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Revelation 7:1-17, Amos 7-9
MESSAGE:
At creation, the power of the word of God was evident. We see God calling forth things through His word. No wonder John 1:1 tells us that in the beginning was the word and the Word was God. Psalms 138:2 also says:
“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.”
This tells you that there is so much power in the word of God. The word has a solution to every problem and it can travel any distance so long as there is faith. For instance, in Matthew 8:5-13, there is the story of the centurion who begged Jesus to heal his servant and when Jesus said He wanted to go with him to see the servant, he immediately asked Jesus to only speak the word. The Lord did and the servant was healed that very minute. Distance is not a barrier, this is why people connect to the Holy Ghost Services from all over the world and they get their miracles. Never take the word of God for granted, listen attentively whenever it is being preached. Also, if you are experiencing any difficulty in any area of your life, speak the word of God to it today in faith and watch it turn around for good.
KEY POINT:
How much of the word of God do you know?
HYMN: In Christ Alone
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Jesus
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
