Dunamis seed of destiny

ACCESSING GOD’S WAYS BY STUDYING HIS WORD   March 26, 2023   •     Seeds of Destiny SCRIPTURE: Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 1Timothy 4:13 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The habitual study of the Word is an attribute of greatness. It has been established that the Word of God is the builder of life and destiny. Your destiny is not in view when the Word is out of place in your life. To neglect the Word is to forfeit your destiny. This means, the diligent study of the Word is necessary for the fulfilment of destiny (2 Timothy 2:15, John 5:39). Now, what does it mean to study the Word of God? To study the Word of God is to access the ways, thoughts, principles and precepts of God from His Book in order to walk better with Him on earth. When you study God’s Word, you are trying to know what He likes, how He thinks, what His principles are, what you are allowed to do, what you are forbidden from doing, etc. This is what studying the Word of God is about. It is

Follow and learn

Title: Follow and learn! Text: Jesus said to his followers, “Where is your faith?”The followers were afraid and amazed and said to each other, “Who is this that commands even the wind and the water, and they obey him?- Luke 8:25 NCV  The Apostles followed Jesus for the three years that He walked the earth. They followed and learned from Him. They grew in faith as they followed Him. He empowered them and they touched their world mightily. Are you a follower of Christ? Keep following Him. Keep learning and faith will keep growing and you will keep overcoming. If you are not yet a follower there is still an opportunity to become a follower so you can learn how to live the very best life that God planned for you. You are called to live an overcoming life through faith and the power of God so refuse to settle for less than God wants for you. Today’s prayer: I will keep following Him and living the triumphant life God planned for me. Further reading: 2 Corinthians 2:14; Romans 8:37

God Controls Your Destiny!

Title: God controls your destiny! Text: So he will do to me whatever he has planned. He controls my destiny. - Job 23:14 NLT God has a plan for your life. He planned your destiny or your destination in life before you were conceived in your mother's womb. The devil can try, but he cannot interfere with or stop God's plan for your life. God has a plan for your life and nothing or no one can stop His plan for your life. Sometimes it may not feel so, but God is in control of your life. There will be times it feels like nothing is happening. Do not live life depending on your feelings. Do not live by feelings. Live by faith in God. Believe that God still has a plan for your life and He will still do what He has planned for you. Today’s prayer: God will do to me all He has planned for me for He controls my destiny. Lean on God!

Title: Lean on God! Text: Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do and the God of peace shall be with you. - Philippians 4:9 KJV When a weaker object or person leans on a stronger one the weak will tap the strength of the stronger one. Paul is in prison. He is in the midst of the storm, but he is calm. What does He know that we do not know? He has learned that in the midst of the storm lean on the one who is LORD over every storm. Make His strength your strength when you are weak, and you will get through the storm. He said when you lean on God you will draw strength, wisdom, and help when you are weak. Lean on Him, and though you are faced with a storm you will find the strength to go through it and come out on the other side. God is LORD over every storm and no storm can resist God. So if the storm cannot stop or resist God when you lean on Him the storm is not able to overcome you because you are leaning on the one who is LORD over every

Refuse to Complain!

Title:, and Refuse to complain! Text: And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord hea, and; and his anger was kindled, and the fire of the Lord burnt among them and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp. - Numbers 11:1 KJV Israel had seen God do wonders in their lives. Still, they were ungrateful and full of complaining and it made God angry. They were focused on the things that had not happened in their life rather than focused on the things God had done. Complaining is not praying. And complaining does not increase you. It reduces you. And most of all you have enough enemies without adding God to the list. Very importantly, God is the most important friend or partner that you need. You cannot afford to add God to the list of enemies you have. Focus on the good in your life. Focus on what God has done in your life, give Him praise for what He has done and wait expectantly for Him to do all those other things in due season for faithful is H

After You Have Prayed!

After you have prayed! Text: David didn’t ascend into heaven. Yet he says, The Lord said to my Lord, ‘Sit at my right side, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.’ – Acts 2:34-35 CEB Prayer will change anything. Prayer works and your prayer works. If you will pray about it, God will help you defeat any issue. However, there will be times that after you have prayed the victory will not manifest instantly. That is when to do what David said. You “sit down” – do not worry. Your victory is set in motion after you have prayed even if you do not yet see anything happen physically. So after you have prayed do as David said. “Sit down” until God puts the opposition firmly and permanently under your feet and you have the victory.   Today’s prayer: I walk by faith, not by sight and I will not be denied the victory God promised me.    Further reading: Philippians 4:6; Matthew 6:25

Sermon: God is good

Sermon: God is good Genesis, Colossians by  Chip Dean     Scriptures ,  Genesis 3 ,  Colossians 3:1-12 Connection to Unit Theme:  God is good, merciful, and loving. If all humanity has been created in God's image, why don't we see a good, merciful, and loving humanity? How can men and women return to the good image God created for us? Introductory idea Have you ever known someone who experienced a tragic accident and they were never the same? They may have ended up with physical or mental disabilities, or even a different personality. We still deeply love them, but we know deep down they aren't the same people they used to be. In the same way, God created us in His image to reflect Him for His glory (Gen 1:26-28). When Adam and Eve sinned, humanity went through a tragic transformation and took on the curse of sin (Gen 3). We are not the people God intended us to be. We are like images in broken mirrors. We can still make out the image, but we are blind to its full effect.
