Dunamis seed of destiny

ACCESSING GOD’S WAYS BY STUDYING HIS WORD   March 26, 2023   •     Seeds of Destiny SCRIPTURE: Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 1Timothy 4:13 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The habitual study of the Word is an attribute of greatness. It has been established that the Word of God is the builder of life and destiny. Your destiny is not in view when the Word is out of place in your life. To neglect the Word is to forfeit your destiny. This means, the diligent study of the Word is necessary for the fulfilment of destiny (2 Timothy 2:15, John 5:39). Now, what does it mean to study the Word of God? To study the Word of God is to access the ways, thoughts, principles and precepts of God from His Book in order to walk better with Him on earth. When you study God’s Word, you are trying to know what He likes, how He thinks, what His principles are, what you are allowed to do, what you are forbidden from doing, etc. This is what studying the Word of God is about. It is

Andrew Wommack Devotional 20 December 2022 – Be Filled With The Holy Ghost

Andrew Wommack Devotional 20 December 2022 – Be Filled With The Holy Ghost Topic: Be Filled With The Holy Ghost Luke 24:49 “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” This filling of the Holy Ghost is subsequent to the born-again experience. Paul reveals in Rom. 10:9, that a person has to confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that Jesus was raised from the dead, before he can be saved. It is possible to be saved, yet not have what Jesus said was the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Since the Holy Spirit is now given freely and we don’t have to tarry for His coming, we can receive salvation and the baptism of the Holy Spirit at the same time. However, it is not automatic. We must ask and believe for the baptism of the Holy Ghost, just as we believed for salvation. Speaking in tongues is unique to the Church Age. This is because when a person speaks in tongues, his ne

Andrew Wommack Devotional 6 December 2022 – Where’s Your Focus?

Andrew Wommack Devotional 6 December 2022 – Where’s Your Focus? Topic: Where’s Your Focus? Matthew 27:4 ‘Saying, I have  sinned  in that I have betrayed the  innocent blood. And they sai d, What is that to us? see thou to that.’ These Jews, who had courted Judas’ favor to obtain his cooperation in arresting Jesus, cared nothing for Judas. They had simply used him. The devil’s crowd may flatter as long as they can use you, but you can be assured that when there is no longer anything in it for them, they will forsake you just as the chief priests did Judas. The serpent didn’t come to Eve in the garden threatening to bite her if she didn’t eat of the forbidden fruit. Instead, he came with deception, presenting himself as being concerned for her welfare. Satan’s greatest weapon is deceit. Just as a football player, a boxer, or military man’s success depends partly on how well he knows his opponent(s), so believers must not be ignorant of Satan’s devices. Jesus stripped Satan o

Andrew Wommack Devotional 3 December 2022 – One In Spirit

Andrew Wommack Devotional 3 December 2022 – One In Spirit   Topic: One In Spirit Matthew 27:18 ‘For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.’ Many problems arise from envy. James said, ‘ For where envying  and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work’ (James. 3:16). Envy and strife go hand in hand and open the door to the devil to do anything he desires, in our life. Some people would never give place to the devil through confessing the wrong things, yet through envy, they give the enemy  freedom  to do his worst. God’s kind of love is not envious or jealous because it doesn’t seek it’s own, but seeks the welfare of others. Envy is an indication of self-centeredness. The Apostle Paul had some opponents who were just like many people who sow strife today. They are against everything and critical of the way those in authority handle things. They make big statements about what they would do if they were in authority, but it’s all talk. They haven’t proven them

Andrew Wommack Devotional 29 November 2022 – Guard Against Deception

Andrew Wommack Devotional 29 November 2022 – Guard Against Deception Topic: Guard Against Deception Matthew 24:4 ‘And  Jesus  answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.’ MATTHEW 24:3-5 Deception can be avoided or else  Jesus would not have said , ‘Take heed that no man deceive you.’ Satan can only deceive those who allow him to do it. Ephesians 6:11 tells us to ‘Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.’ Putting on the whole armour of God will protect you from the deception of the devil. Just wearing part of God’s armour will not fully protect you. Many Christians have been running around with the helmet of salvation on but nothing else. There is more to overcoming the devil than just being saved. We have to understand our righteous position in the Lord. We also must possess faith, know the Word, and understand the gospel of peace. The Christian life is a constant struggle against Satan, who is trying t

Andrew Wommack Devotional 28 November 2022 – You’re Not Alone In Persecution

Andrew Wommack Devotional 28 November 2022 – You’re Not Alone In Persecution Andrew Wommack Devotional 28 November 2022 – You’re Not Alone In Persecution Topic: You’re Not Alone In Persecution Luke 23:11 ‘And Herod with his men of   war set him nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.’ All of Christ’s sufferings did not end when He finished His earthly ministry. He still takes the persecution of His people personally as is revealed by His statement to Saul on the road to Damascus: ‘Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?’ He didn’t ask Paul why he was persecuting His people. He said, ‘Why are you persecuting Me?’ When we are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, it is actually Christ who is being persecuted. One of the most trying aspects of persecution is the feeling that God has forsaken you. ‘If God wanted to, He could stop the persecution, right? Therefore, He doesn’t care.’ That’s the way the devil tries to make us think.

Andrew Wommack Devotional 27 November 2022: Jesus – The Name Above Names

Andrew Wommack Devotional 27 November 2022: Jesus – The Name Above Names Posted by Precious Ochigbo | Nov 26, 2022 |  Andrew Wommack  |  0  Andrew Wommack Devotional 27 November 2022: Jesus – The Name Above Names Topic Jesus – The Name Above Names Luke 23:9 ‘Then he questioned with him in many words; but he  answered him nothing.’ Not only does Jesus’ refusal to defend Himself show His  humility , but His refraining from venting His wrath against the man who senselessly killed His friend who was the greatest of the Old Testament prophets (Mt. 11:11), also displays His humble nature. Because of Christ’s humility and obedience to the Father, God gave Him a name that is above every name in heaven, earth and under the earth. There is no exemption for anyone or anything from coming under the Lordship of Jesus. He is Lord of ALL. Jesus has not only been exalted above every ‘being’ that has a name, but He is also highly exalted above anything else that can be named. If you ca
