Dunamis seed of destiny

  ACCESSING GOD’S WAYS BY STUDYING HIS WORD   March 26, 2023   •     Seeds of Destiny SCRIPTURE: Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 1Timothy 4:13 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The habitual study of the Word is an attribute of greatness. It has been established that the Word of God is the builder of life and destiny. Your destiny is not in view when the Word is out of place in your life. To neglect the Word is to forfeit your destiny. This means, the diligent study of the Word is necessary for the fulfilment of destiny (2 Timothy 2:15, John 5:39). Now, what does it mean to study the Word of God? To study the Word of God is to access the ways, thoughts, principles and precepts of God from His Book in order to walk better with Him on earth. When you study God’s Word, you are trying to know what He likes, how He thinks, what His principles are, what you are allowed to do, what you are forbidden from doing, etc. This is what studying the Word of God is about. It is

Open Heaven 22 November 2022 Tuesday Daily Devotional By Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Stop Flattering People

Open Heaven 22 November 2022 TOPIC: Stop Flattering People

MEMORISE: “The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:” – Psalm 12:3 (KJV)

READ: Psalm 12:1-4 (KJV)

1 Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Acts 14-15

Open Heaven 22 November 2022 MESSAGE:

To flatter someone is to give excessive and insincere praise to the person, especially to further your own interests. Flattery is one of the weapons with which the devil destroys people. This means that the fellow who flatters is one of the agents of the devil in destroying people. Every time you flatter someone, you are working for the devil’s interest to bring down the fellow. Thus if you want to be an agent of the devil, you can go on flattering people. God however, does not tolerate agents of darkness. Psalm 12:3 says:

The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

If you keep flattering, you are inviting the Lord to cut off your lips. Job 32:22 also says that God will take away any one who flatters another.

For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away. – Job 32:22

When a person does good, tell them without exaggerating. When they do something bad, tell them with wisdom for them to change for the better. When you flatter people, you are making them think that they are perfect. You are fanning the flame of pride that may have been in them before and when it rises, the Lord will then resist them. That would lead to destruction.

People often know when they are being flattered. Though the flattery may work in your favour for a while, the fellow will soon realise that you are only around them for what you can get and they will soon start staying away from you. They know that the other fellow who does not flatter but tells them the truth always is their real friend. In the long run, the flatterer could lose the relationship. If a fellow is always flattering you, he or she is not your real friend. The word of God says in Proverbs 28:23 “He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue”.

If you truly want the favour of a great person, tell them the truth and stop flattering them.

Open Heaven 22 November 2022 HYMN 16: O God, Our Help In Ages Past

1 O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal home.

2 Under the shadow of Your throne
Your saints have dwelt secure;
Sufficient is Your arm alone,
And our defence is sure.

 Before the hills in order stood,
Or earth received her frame,
From everlasting You are God,
To endless years the same.

4 A thousand ages in Your sight
Are like an evening gone;
Short as the watch that ends the night
Before the rising sun.

5 The busy tribes of flesh and blood,
With all their lives and cares,
Are carried downward by your flood,
And lost in foll’wing years.

6 Time, like an ever-rolling stream,
Bears all its sons away;
They fly forgotten, as a dream
Dies at the opening day.

7 O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come:
Be Thou our guard while troubles last,
And our eternal home.

  THE SECRET OF GROWTH by  Dr. Ed Young Scripture:  1 Kings 1:1-4 ,  1 Kings 1:8-53 ,  2 Peter 3:18 The Secret of Growth Ed Young 2 Peter 3:18 I've been on vacation these weeks. I haven't preached in so long, I told one of my boys that I may preach like Paul. And sometime he just preached all night. My son said, ''Yeah, but one fellow went to sleep in the window and fell out of the window and was killed.'' I said, ''Yeah, but Paul went out and raised him from the dead and put him back in the window and kept on preaching.'' My son said, ''When you can do that, you can preach all night, too, Daddy.'' If you'd open your Bibles - not to the scripture mentioned, though that's one of the very important scriptures - to II Corinthians instead, Chapter 3, Verse 18. Mr. Hamlet's announcement about our television ministry is an extremely important thing. I remember our first Television Committee in this church dreamed of being on

  Kenneth Copeland Devotional 29 November 2022 – Don’t Buy a Lie Topic: Don’t Buy a Lie And all these  blessings  shall come on  thee, and overtake thee , if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. – Deuteronomy 28:2 “Well, brother, in the end I’m sure you’ll see these financial problems are actually a blessing in disguise.” Have you ever heard anybody say that to someone who’s hurting financially? Chances are, you have. It’s a popular idea. The problem is, it’s a lie used by the devil to keep believers down. As a result, many believers today are suffering one financial defeat after another. So let’s go to the Word of God today and get the issue of prosperity and poverty straight. Let’s find out, once and for all, which is the blessing, which the curse. You can find the answer to that question in Deuteronomy 28. What God describes in verses 1 through 14 is the blessing—prosperity. In verses 15 through 31, God describes poverty—and He has called it a curse. Th
