Dunamis seed of destiny

ACCESSING GOD’S WAYS BY STUDYING HIS WORD   March 26, 2023   •     Seeds of Destiny SCRIPTURE: Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 1Timothy 4:13 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The habitual study of the Word is an attribute of greatness. It has been established that the Word of God is the builder of life and destiny. Your destiny is not in view when the Word is out of place in your life. To neglect the Word is to forfeit your destiny. This means, the diligent study of the Word is necessary for the fulfilment of destiny (2 Timothy 2:15, John 5:39). Now, what does it mean to study the Word of God? To study the Word of God is to access the ways, thoughts, principles and precepts of God from His Book in order to walk better with Him on earth. When you study God’s Word, you are trying to know what He likes, how He thinks, what His principles are, what you are allowed to do, what you are forbidden from doing, etc. This is what studying the Word of God is about. It is

DCLM Daily Manna 26 November 2022 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — What Do You Glory In?

TOPIC: What Do You Glory In? (DCLM Daily Manna 26 November 2022)

TEXT: Jeremiah 9:23-26 (KJV)

23 Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.

25 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;

26 Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.

KEY VERSE: “Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD…” (Jeremiah 9:23, 24).

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

It is not uncommon as you interact with people, especially for the first time at social functions, to find them wanting to tell you much about themselves. They talk of their academic qualifications, material possessions, social status and connections, travels to different parts of the world, the various awards they have received, and the likes. Should you make a mistake to address them without the titles that go along with their names, they will take serious offence and demand your unreserved apology.

In our passage today, God cautions the nation of Israel against taking pride and bragging about their material possessions. Boasting about their wisdom, wealth, worldly connections as well as their might is worthless. Rather, if they are to take pride in anything at all, it should be in the fact that they know the Lord. Knowing God and partaking of His righteousness and goodness is worth more than any worldly possession or attainment. The reason is obvious: all earthly possessions and attainments are temporal and transient. But God is eternal; and being in relationship with Him secures us eternal blessings.

Christians, therefore, should hold the things of this world lightly. It is not as if they do not consider having worldly possessions as essential for life and are indifferent to them. They, instead, have a higher sense of value. They may have academic laurels, financial wealth and other material blessings; all these are not the most important things for them. They cherish and hold dearly their relationship with God above any of these.

Unfortunately, today, some people claim to be Christians but give little or no time to nurturing their relationship with God. Instead, they spend the most part of their lives pursuing earthly things. You need to check up your sense of value. What do you glory in? What gives you the greatest sense of joy and satisfaction? Remember, every earthly possession will pass away.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

Glory in the Lord alone.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:

Ecclesiastes 8-12

The Secrets of Growth

THE SECRET OF GROWTH by  Dr. Ed Young Scripture:  1 Kings 1:1-4 ,  1 Kings 1:8-53 ,  2 Peter 3:18 The Secret of Growth Ed Young 2 Peter 3:18 I've been on vacation these weeks. I haven't preached in so long, I told one of my boys that I may preach like Paul. And sometime he just preached all night. My son said, ''Yeah, but one fellow went to sleep in the window and fell out of the window and was killed.'' I said, ''Yeah, but Paul went out and raised him from the dead and put him back in the window and kept on preaching.'' My son said, ''When you can do that, you can preach all night, too, Daddy.'' If you'd open your Bibles - not to the scripture mentioned, though that's one of the very important scriptures - to II Corinthians instead, Chapter 3, Verse 18.   Kenneth Copeland Devotional 29 November 2022 – Don’t Buy a Lie Topic: Don’t Buy a Lie And all these  blessings  shall come on  thee, and overtake thee , if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. – Deuteronomy 28:2 “Well, brother, in the end I’m sure you’ll see these financial problems are actually a blessing in disguise.” Have you ever heard anybody say that to someone who’s hurting financially? Chances are, you have. It’s a popular idea. The problem is, it’s a lie used by the devil to keep believers down. As a result, many believers today are suffering one financial defeat after another. So let’s go to the Word of God today and get the issue of prosperity and poverty straight. Let’s find out, once and for all, which is the blessing, which the curse. You can find the answer to that question in Deuteronomy 28. What God describes in verses 1 through 14 is the blessing—prosperity. In verses 15 through 31, God describes poverty—and He has called it a curse. Th
